Museum Passes

Passes are checked out of Otis Library under the following conditions:

  • Check out is to Adult cards only
  • Library card must be presented at time of check out
  • Check out of passes is for three days:
    1st day – pick up
    2nd day – use (may also be picked up this day before noon)
    3rd day – due back at Otis Library before closing
  • If it is necessary to cancel a reservation please do so by no later than 10 a.m. of the “use” day.
  • Replacement costs will be charged to patron for lost pass (prices vary).
  • Overdue fine for late passes is $2.00 per day.
  • Passes are for free or reduced admission.
  • Pass must be returned to the Circulation desk. Do not return in the book drop.

This pass can be used to cover the cost of parking where there is an established parking charge.

Admission with Pass:
Free Admission for 2 adults and 4 children at State historical sites and exhibit centers at Dinosaur, Fort Trumbull and Gillette Castle State Parks. Not valid for groups or vehicles carrying more than 12 passengers.
Hours:
Valid from April 19 through Oct. 6, 2008. Connecticut State Parks and Forests are open daily from 8:00 am until sunset.

The Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center, a new state-of-the-art, tribally owned-and-operated complex, brings to life the story of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation. The Slater Memorial Museum

This three story Romanesque-style structure was a gift of Wm. A. Slater in memory of his father. Officially dedicated in 1886, the museum added the cast collection in 1888 as the first of several collections which include the European and American paintings, contemporary American crafts, Asian textiles, Native American and pre-Columbian artifacts, and African and Oceanic artifacts.
