Education Through Film

The Center for Emergent Media, in partnership with Otis Library, will be hosting an “Education Through Film” session on Saturday, June 4, at 12:00 p.m. in the Library’s Community Room.  Guest Speaker Wade Smith, a professional Wooden Boatbuilder and Instructor, will give an introductory talk on the whaling/shipping trade, specifically the whaling ship Essex.  This will be followed by a screening of the film In the Heart of the Sea (PG-13), and a short Q&A session. Refreshments will be provided.
