The Friends of Otis Library are a group of volunteers who support the library with fundraising events throughout the year. Their bi-annual book sales (held in April and October) are always a huge draw. It’s like having our own bookstore in downtown Norwich! The Friends collect gently used books, audiobooks, CDs, and DVDs throughout the year for their sales. If you have items you would like to donate, you can bring them, up to two bags at a time, to the Front Desk. For large donations, please call Andrea at 860-889-2365 x127.

When you become a member of The Friends of Otis Library you support not only the library, but also the surrounding community.  Within the past year the Friends have funded the Ancestry database, sensory kits for children, enhancement of the library’s signage, access to Pronunciator (language learning) and development of the Library’s collections.

We are always looking to make new Friends! If you would like to become a member, please view the membership brochure below. Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month at 5 PM in the meeting room on the second floor of the Library. Please contact the Library for schedule changes.
