Literacy Volunteers
Otis Library provides space to Literacy Volunteers of Eastern Connecticut to assure access to LVEC’s programs and services for Norwich and Norwich-area residents. LVEC engages volunteers to assist adult New Americans to learn English as another language and to assist English-speakers to read. Depending on learner needs, LVEC offers on-to-one tutoring, conversation groups, and computer-assisted learning programs to serve its enrolled learners at the LVEC office in Otis Library.
